NH Advance Health Care Directive for Coronavirus and Covid-19

March 14, 2020 1 min read

The current crisis involving the coronavirus and covid-19 in New Hampshire has highlighted the importance of a living will and durable power of attorney for health care (collectively referred to as an advance healthcare directive). Of similar importance for New Hampshire residents is a durable power of attorney for financial affairs. This concern has been echoed in the national media as well.

It is important for New Hampshire residents to know that we offer both an advance health care directive and durable power of attorney for financial affairs as downloadable forms that you can fill out on your laptop, tablet or smart phone from home, without traveling to an attorney's office. Our forms were designed by a New Hampshire lawyer, are easy to understand and include helpful commentary.

We are offering both forms at no-charge until Monday April 27, 2020. Hard copies of an advance health care directive are also offered at most New Hampshire health care facilities. However, this form is difficult to understand and therefore hard to use to accurately express your wishes.

Stay well, stay home and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Best, Todd W. Stevens, Esq.
